Pianist Antonio Galera has built a career that combines his work as a soloist, chamber musician and creator of his own artistic projects. His performances have taken him to some of Spain’s leading concert venues, including the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Palau de la Música de València, the Palau de les Arts, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Auditorio de Zaragoza, the Fundación Juan March and Teatros del Canal.
His international career has brought him to venues such as St Martin-in-the-Fields in London, the Kurhaus in Baden-Baden, Balliol Hall in Oxford, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Chapelle de la Trinité in Fontainebleau, Steinway Hall in New York, the Simón Bolívar Amphitheatre in Mexico City and Zhongshan Hall in Taipei. He has also performed in Canada and South Africa and has served as Artist-in-Residence at the Hispanic Society of New York.
Alongside his concert activity, Galera is involved in creative and interdisciplinary projects with companies such as La Veronal and La Fura dels Baus, as well as with the acclaimed writer Elvira Lindo. He is also the founder and Artistic Director of Festival dels Horts, an initiative dedicated to promoting classical music in his hometown of Picanya.
His debut album, Prélude, received unanimous critical acclaim and was awarded distinctions including the Melómano de Oro and the Joker Découverte from Crescendo magazine. In autumn 2026, he will release Cordes, his second solo album, a project exploring the dialogue between piano and guitar through the Hispanic repertoire. The album features works by Manuel de Falla, Alberto Ginastera, Vicente Asencio and Francisco Coll, as well as compositions by Mariangeles Sánchez Benimeli, the pianist’s great-aunt, whose music holds a special place in his artistic journey.
